Changde Delegation Attends the First Hunan ASEAN Investment and Trade Fair
From August 25 to 27, Changde City organized a delegation, made up by 16 foreign trade enterprises, to participate in the first Hunan ASEAN Investment and Trade Fair.
With the theme of “seizing the new opportunity of RCEP and deepening the new cooperation of ASEAN in Hunan”, the conference had an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, 400 booths, more than 600 domestic and foreign exhibitors and about 1,500 kinds of products, attracting more than 1,000 professional buyers from Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and other ASEAN countries to participate in the conference and carry out procurement negotiations.
Hunan ASEAN Investment and Trade Fair, as the main exhibition activity of Hunan province for ASEAN, is an important platform to promote economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. Changde City image special exhibition hall covers an area of 105 square meters, the exhibits of the 16 exhibitors including mechanical and electrical products, chemical products, food and tea, textiles, medicine and baby products, sports equipment, etc. 37 orders were made on site during the 3-day exhibition period.
Quinoa Chuyuan Trade (quinoa, chia seeds) from Wuling District, Tiandi Farming Oil Tea from Dingcheng District, Dezhongtang Medicine from Changde High-Tech District, Jishang Technology (audio headphones) from Liuye Lake Tourism Resort, Yixiang Real Estate (strollers) from Li County, Chuyun Tea from Shimen County, Cool Motion Sporting Goods from Anxiang County, and Jinxiang Pig Mane from Jinshi County started negotiations with customers on site and also further diversified their supply and sales matchmaking after the exhibition.
So far, Changde’s import and export volume to RCEP member countries totaled 5.177 billion yuan, an increase of 49.61 percent year-on-year. Among them, the import and export volume to the 10 ASEAN countries totaled 3.753 billion yuan, an increase of 78.13 percent.
