“Ten Actions” for Urban Renewal and Quality Improvement Forge Ahead Steadily in Changde
Recently, the sub-headquarters of urban renewal and quality improvement in Changde told reporters that 44 city-level urban construction projects have been launched with an investment of about 860 million yuan since the start of the “Ten Actions”, and the work is progressing steadily.
On March 15, the sub-headquarters of the special action for urban renewal and quality improvement in Changde were officially established. All districts, counties, cities (administrative areas) and relevant departments have been advancing the work of urban renewal and quality improvement continuously. The sub-headquarters had issued implementation plans and assessment methods, improved the working mechanism and carried out a number of urban renewal and quality improvement projects. The “Ten Actions” include urban planning guidance, coordinate development of cities and counties, urban living guarantee, facilitation of citizens, infrastructure advancement, urban traffic improvement, urban characteristics creation, urban environment beautification, urban precision management, and safety and emergency response enhancement.
Up to now, 44 city-level urban construction projects in the list of “Ten Actions” have been launched, with an investment of about 860 million yuan; six shantytown renovation projects with 172 households have been started, and by mid-year the operating rate is estimated to reach more than 50%; 116 old residential community renovation projects have been initiated; ten public rental housing projects with 1,537 units have been started with an operating rate of 38%; four rental housing projects with 1,516 units have been launched with an operating rate of 69%; a total of 37 elevators have been installed and 63 are under construction; the city car parking administration center has been established, which has carried out the preliminary work on the planning of the urban parking lots and the national land space of the facilities, and re-marked parking places on sidewalks; five public toilets have been newly built, 11 have been renovated, and six are under construction.
