Zeng Min was also recommended as the candidate for 2021 "Changde Craftsman" and promoted to the professional skill level of technicians in accordance with relevant regulations. Deputy Mayor Gong Dehan attended the award ceremony and delivered a speech.
At present, there are 1.32 million elderly people over 60 in Changde, which has the largest population of elderly people and the highest aging rate in Hunan province. In recent years, the municipal party committee and the municipal government have attached great importance to elderly healthcare, striving to develop the cultural, tourism and healthcare industries, improve the quality of elderly caring services, and incorporate the development of the elderly care industry and service system into key livelihood matters and government operations.
Gong Dehan pointed out that respecting the elderly and caring for the young are the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation. All levels and departments should take the competition as an opportunity to promote the elderly care services to a higher level, build sites for vocational skills training, establish and improve the incentive mechanism, form an integrated service system, explore new models, aiming to provide the elderly with more satisfactory, more comfortable, and more considerate quality services, so that the city's elderly care industry will reach a new level.
