Changde Leaders Investigate Rural Revitalization in Shimen
Yesterday, Vice Mayor Tang Zuoguo led a team to Changyu Village, Moshi Town, Shimen County, to carry out on-site survey of rural revitalization.
Tang and his delegation inspected road construction, organic rice cultivation, ditch modification in Changyu Village and had a detailed understanding of infrastructure construction, such as water, electricity, road and communications, and industrial development. Changyu Village is located in the middle of Shimen County, with an average elevation of 800 meters above sea level and a population of 1,051 people from 365 households. The villagers’ economic income mainly comes from working outside the village, planting rice, corn, sweet potato and breeding pigs. The annual collective economic income of the village is less than 30,000 yuan, and the overall development level is backward.
Tang pointed out that special attention should be paid to village planning, industry planning, and construction of village manners and civilization. He added that it is important to build roads, improve electricity, and connect communications signals, encourage large households to transfer land to develop breeding industry, and establish specialized farmer cooperatives.
