Linli County Commemorates Lin Boqu in Qing Ming Festival
On April 3, about 500 representatives from Linli County and the teachers and students from Linli Experimental Primary School gathered in front of the former residence of Lin Boqu (1866-1960), the famous Chinese revolutionary leader and educator, to cherish the memory of his great achievements in his glorious revolutionary life.
Qing Ming Festival, or Tomb Sweeping Day, is a traditional celebration for the Chinese people to remember their ancestors. At 9 a.m., the activity themed “Our Qingming Festival in Commemoration of Comrade Lin Boqu” began at Lin Boqu's Bronze Statue Square. The participants dedicated flowers to Lin Boqu’s statue to express their admiration and reminiscence to the great revolutionary ancestor.
