Qin Zhen

  Qin Zhen, a native of Taoyuan County, is a revolutionist as famous as Song Jiaoren in modern China. In 1903, he was wanted by the Qing government for his anti-Qing government thoughts and speeches. At the same year, he went to Japan to escape the Qing government’s arrest. In 1905, he went to Japan the second time after failing in an uprising. In 1908, he came back to China to take part in another uprising and was arrested by the Qing government. In 1911, the Xinhai Revolution broke out and he was released. In 1912, he was recommended by Sun Yat-sen to be a senator. In 1924, he tried to promote the cooperation between the Chinese Communist Party and the Kuomintang. In 1936, he worked as the vice president of legislature of the Republic of China. In 1945, he tried his best in the Chongqing between the Chinese Communist Party and the Kuomintang. In 1947, he died of disease in Shanghai at the age of 63.
