Zhao Picai, a native of Shimen, is a famous farmer inventor in China. When he was a child, he was interested in invention and dreamed to be an inventor. However, he failed in the national college entrance examination and became a farmer. In 1982, he succeeded in inventing a medicine to cure eye disease of horse-head sheep which he raised and won high recognition from society. In 1984, he succeeded in cultivating mushrooms and made great contribution for the economic development of his home town. He invented multi-purpose and environment-friendly gasification stove which is now widely used in China and exported to Russia, Inner Mongolia, Thailand, Burma and so on.
