Changde Ranks Eight in 2019 Livable Cities Ranking
The 2019 Ranking of 100 Most Livable Cities in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan was released on Dec 13th. Changde ranked the 8th nationwide, being the only city in Hunan Province among the Top 20.
The evaluation assessed 121 criteria in five categories, including economic vitality and competitiveness, environment and sustainability, domestic security and stability, social culture, and urban governance. Among the 100 cities, Changde has got the score of 1.5581, ranking the 8th.
Changde is known as the “City of Peach Blossom Wonderland” for its beautiful scenery with mountains and rivers and has long established its reputation of livability. In recent years, it has been honored with a lot of titles, including National Civilized City, National Sanitary City, National Garden City, China's First Batch of Pilot Cities for Sponge City Construction and the World’s First Batch of International Wetland Cities.
