Changde Public Bicycle Rental System
On October 28, 2012, Changde public bicycle rental system, the second one in Hunan Province, was officially launched. It includes 30 rental stations and 1000 bicycles. It can provide convenience to citizens and reduce traffic congestion, noise, and air pollution. By the year of 2015 , Changde will build at least 120 rental stations with 3600 public bicycles available to citizens.

Public bicycle rental system can remove some of the primary disadvantages to bicycle ownership, including loss from theft or vandalism, lack of parking or storage, and maintenance requirements. Hangzhou public bicycle rental system in China is the largest one in the world, with around 61,000 bicycles and over 2,400 stations.
