Taiqing Village, 80 km away from the urban area of the county, is located in the northwest of Lixian County. It covers an area of 19.72 square kilometers and the registered agricultural population is 1,995. Due to its high altitude, Taiqing Village develops the industry of tea plantation. The per capita net income of the villagers is 8,728 yuan in 2018 and the village was thus lifted out of poverty officially, but still regarded as one of weak foundation and insufficient development. On April 22nd, the residential poverty-stricken team was dispatched to the village to address poverty alleviation through a series of measures, including developing a featured industry, improving the living environment and strengthening the primary-level organization.

Mayor Cao highly affirmed the work of the units from different levels after hearing their work reports. He demanded a careful and thorough job in every aspect of the poverty-stricken program. He said it is important to identify the problems, define responsibilities and determine priorities on the development of the village.
